HORNE Capital acts as advisor to MMI in Primos acquisition

HORNE Capital served as buy-side advisor to MMI President Micajah Sturdivant and the company leadership team to ensure a smooth transition between the two parties.

MMI purchased the local, family-owned restaurants in early December.

“HORNE Capital is pleased to have represented the MMI group in what we believe will be a successful, long-term partnership,” HORNE Capital Partner Josh Edwards said. “The leadership teams of both companies are excellent, and we expect them to continue to serve their markets well.”

Sturdivant said in a statement that no immediate changes are planned for the cafes.

“We are honored to carry forward the café concept,” he said.

Primos has locations in Flowood, Ridgeland and Madison.
